EcoFlow's smart meter with Shelly (a co-branded Shelly Pro 3EM) measures in real time what the home is drawing and feeds that reading to the STREAM system. With it, the battery and microinverter deliver only what is being consumed at each moment, which makes better use of the solar and avoids sending surplus to the grid — precisely the condition that keeps the installation exempt from DGEG registration. It mounts on a DIN rail in the distribution board, meters all three phases and only works with the STREAM line.
